Ellie Jane Goulding is a British woman born on December 30, 1986. Her mother Tracey Goulding Summers worked in the supermarket, while the father Arthur Goulding was a member of the family known as an undertaker. Goulding is the second child with a brother called Alex and a sister who is older named Isabel and a younger sister called Jordan. Alex, her brother is an accomplished bassist and Hereford band member. Her mother encouraged her to pursue the instrument as a young child. Her first instrument was the clarinet at the age of nine. By the time she reached 14 years old, she began to write her own songs. However, she did not begin singing until the college time. Goulding began to develop an interest in electronics music while studying. Through MySpace she was able to connect with the record producer Frankmusik and with his help she created her kind of folktronica music.
